Whats On Around Me?

WHAT’S ON AROUND ME?

While you’re staying at the Canberra Carotel, why not check out what’s on around you.

Canberra has a great deal to offer to visitors of all kinds; the great outdoors, politics, art, great restaurants, cafes and bars, there’s plenty to see and do during your stay at the Canberra Carotel. We highly recommend that you explore the wide variety of walking and mountain bike trails on Mount Majura, conveniently located at the Carotel’s back door. You can also view the bush capital’s amazing array of plant and animal species on the Canberra Nature Map.

Fitz’s Challenge occurs every year in the last weekend of October. It is Australia’s toughest cyclo-sportive challenge, set in Canberra’s beautiful Brindabella ranges. Another popular event is the Centenary Trail Blaze, in the first weekend of December. Rather than being a competition, this is a mass participation event that showcases Canberra’s picturesque environs. See http://www.fitzs.com.au/ for more information.

The Carotel Motel will happily cater to all the needs of all sporting groups, from complimentary secure storage through to catering facilities. We are an ideal choice for all sporting groups attending events in Canberra.

Here are some more events and activities we think are worthwhile:
